Solar power plant efficiency assessment

Due to adverse environmental conditions, outdoor installation may cause quick module decay and a consequent flawed performance of the whole solar power station, with severe loss in terms of energy production and economic advantage. Therefore solar power plants should be periodically revised by comparing actual module performances with the ones declared by the manufacturer.

By measuring the I-V module feature and by comparing it with the plate features, we can know if the modules are working properly, if we have a low performance due to the common ageing process of the device or if a malfunction occurred. In the latter case we could easily spot the damaged modules.
